2 weeks ago I was invited to discover the Savage Beauty exhibition of Alexander McQueen in the Victoria & Albert museum in London. Here’s a little retrospective of this wonderful journey:
12/03 08:00 AM, we were invited to wait for our train in the Eurostar Business Premier Lounge. Other bloggers in crime were Julie (Bible of Fashion), Elke (Goldiloks), Nathalie (Yayzine), Nathalie (Curls and Bags), Grietje (Second Agenda), Vanessa (The Wild Girl) and many more.

Once arrived at St Pancras Station we took the subway direction the V&A museum. Normally I am not a museum fanatic, but I must admit that this exhibition is the most impressive I’ve ever seen! Savage Beauty is presented in a series of 10 magnificent rooms that represent the dominant themes & concepts within McQueen’s work. My ultimate favourite was The Cabinet of Curiosities that forms the heart of the exhibition. It’s a double-height gallery that showcases more than 120 garments and accessories. Mon petit coup de coeur were de quotes written on the walls.
You can find all the info about the exhibition on the V&A website.

After the expo we had a little bit of time off so we decided to enjoy the sunny weather and go for a walk in the park. Afterwards we were invited for lunch at this cute little French restaurant Aubaine in South Kensington.

Next stop was the exclusive department store Liberty on Regent Street where we received a little tour. Perfect occasion to do some shopping #bloggerlife! To end the day in style we went to Brasserie Zédel for a nice little cocktail.

See Alexander McQueen is definitely more than only his famous skull scarves & Lady Gaga shoes! Want to visit the expo? You should definitely check out the Eurostar website because they have a special 2 FOR 1 deal. Exhibition ends on 2/08/2015, so hurry up!
Thanks for reading. Bise, C.
